Quicktime version of Portage movieThe quicktime version of this movie is nearly 120Mb. Addr seems to have a file size limit of about 90Mb. Thus I can't store the movie on the server in its complete form. The .mpg version of the movie does fit, and that's the easiest way to view it. However if you're a QuickTime die-hard or that's all you have then there is a recourse. I have copied the QT version of the movie into four uu-encoded segments. These are named:
portage.uue.1 (right-click and select "Save Target As") To combine them into the QT movie run the following DOS command at a DOS prompt (can't remember what the steps would be for a Mac):
This will give you a single and complete uu-encoded file of the zipped QT movie. You'll now need WinZip to unzip the movie, and fortunately WinZip will also recognize the .uue format. Thus if you have WinZip then all you'll need to do is double click on the portage.uue file. If you don't have WinZip then you can get the shareware version from download.com Good luck! |
