Different types of camping, different lists:

Summer backpacking
I use this list when packing for a summer backpacking trip.
Typically an August trip in RMNP.

Fall/Spring backpacking       Work in progress - list not complete
Essentially the same as the Summer list, but I usually pack one additional clothing item, and I swap my small fleece jacket for my full-length fleece. Usually bring a heavier pair of gloves too. The point is it's usually a colder trip than the summer trips.
Example trips: April or October Bruce, October BWCA, or November Udells.

Summer canoeing
Since I'm in a canoe, I can aford a little more weight.
May BWCA

Winter camping
No canoe, but I drag a sled so I can handle the extra weight and volume of the (necessary) extra gear. I bring a larger tent since winter clothing is bulky and usually changed in the tent. Two sleeping bags are a must. I bring lots more fuel, and a steel thermos, an extra pair of boots, and lots of socks not to mention ski poles, snowshoes, an ice ax and other things never seen in any other season.
January or February BWCA (went in March once).
